Pizza, Muffins, and Egg Rolls

Thanksgiving meal preparation

If you’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving in your Largo, MD apartment this year, take a moment to consider a few recipes that aren’t usually associated with the holiday. We’re talking about pizza, muffins, and egg rolls.

Pizza, muffins, and egg rolls: three things you don’t usually associate with Thanksgiving. Well, we’re inviting you to change that this year. But before we start with these recipes, we want to share a different take on the Thanksgiving classic, mashed potatoes.

Mashed Potatoes with Caramelized Onions — Caramelized onions are sweet and buttery, perfect for the rich flavor of mashed potatoes. Click on the above link for instructions on how to take one Thanksgiving staple to the next level. These potatoes are easy to make, and they only require a few ingredients.

Now then. Onto the main event.

The first recipe that we’d like to highlight comes from We Are Not Martha. This Thanksgiving pizza recipe is one that caught our attention and our cravings. We couldn’t pass this opportunity up! From the website: “What’s better than sitting down to a piping hot pizza? Well, Thanksgiving dinner, maybe. It’s getting close to one of our very favorite times of year and clearly Thanksgiving dinner is on our minds.” What are your favorite ways to transform pizza for different holidays?

These turkey muffin stuffins look really tasty, and that’s why they’re second on our list. This recipe looks like the perfect side to the main Thanksgiving Day meal. If you have leftover turkey (which you should definitely plan for), this recipe is perfect for days following the big dinner.

For our final recipe, we thought we’d switch it up a little with these Thanksgiving egg rolls. Runway Chef has provided a quick and easy recipe that actually looks pretty incredible. Paired with cranberry chutney as a dipping sauce, these little rolls are sure to pack a powerful punch at your dinner table this month.
